Building Contractor, Brada Developments, are thrilled to report their support of pioneering packaging company Woolcool’s recent expansion of their manufacturing and office operation to Tungsten Park, Stone, Staffordshire. This expansion includes the creation of partitions and ceilings providing the space for the many facets of the client’s operation, along with the specialist mechanical and electrical installation.
Woolcool are leading the way in sustainable packaging globally and needed to expand their premises to support their continuing growth. In 2009, Woolcool inventor Angela Morris founded The Wool Packaging Company and the Woolcool brand was officially born. As a Research and Development led company, Woolcool has set itself at the forefront of the innovative packaging market, using patented technology, producing high performing insulated packaging for the shipment of temperature sensitive products.
Working with RIBA Architect MODE and electrical and security experts SEI, the scheme provides a bespoke solution to Woolcool’s expanding operation. It was a real team effort, with the collaboration of Woolcool’s Managing Director Josie Morris and Finance Direct Jessica Morris ensuring the scheme maintained its required focus, particularly important given the short time-frame between the schemes concept and mobilisation of site operations.
A significant challenge involved the procurement of the many bespoke elements required to meet the relocation deadline. Extended lead in times required proactive design meetings and sign off of approved details was essential from the start. Working along side our client during the relocation process required co-ordination and planning with the result that product was rolling of the production line as planned on Monday 19th July!
